Here’s a tiny question.

How many neoliberal white dudes does America need running for President? And why is it that it’s the women and minorities who are the ones offering genuine transformational change — only no one seems to have noticed that relationship much? Have you ever wondered?

I ask, because Mike Bloomberg just entered the running for President. He’s a billionaire, of the classic variety — one who got rich for no good reason by doing nothing of larger value or purpose whatsoever. He made “terminals” that Wall St uses to trade. That means: he took a bunch of “financial information”, and made it easily available to Wall St. The stock markets boomed for decades, partially as a result of this trading bonanza. That should’ve earned him billions, right?

Wrong. There’s precisely zero evidence that Wall St benefits anyone but Wall St in any way whatsoever, and a huge amount of evidence that it costs the rest of us a packet. Not just in the form of bailouts, but in the form of perpetually lower incomes and…
