The Big Lies are Getting Bigger — So When They Tell You Who They Are, Believe Them

By now, you might have heard of the “feud” that’s erupted between Lauren Boebert and Ilhan Omar. Omar, of course is one of the first Muslim members of Congress — replete with hijab. Boebert, a rising star on the right, branded her a member of the “Jihad Squad.” Boebert then implied Omar was a suicide bomber, saying it would only be safe to ride in an elevator with her as long as she wasn’t wearing a backpack.

Then MJT stepped in, and told the one member of the GOP who had the sense to criticise Boebert, to “go hang out with your real gal pals, the Jihad Squad.”

American media — at least much of it — is treating this as light entertainment (ha-ha!), a “feud”, or a “scandal.” It’s none of those things. What is going on here? In a word, fascism is.

Let’s put it as bluntly and plainly as possible. This is fascism. And it’s only a step in a larger cycle and pattern and dynamic. How so?
