BlockDAG Presale Extension At Discount Draws Scrutiny From Crypto Community

BlockDAG Presale Extension

Avoiding crypto scams is a fundamental safety practice that every enthusiast should follow. Spotting and avoiding red flags in crypto ventures and promotions is now critical, given the industry’s growing exposure to scams. BlockDAG, one of the newest cryptocurrency projects, has come under constant scrutiny and faced scam allegations due to its lack of structure and transparency in its presale campaign. BlockDAG is a layer-1 cryptocurrency network that incorporates traditional blockchain security with Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) technology to provide high scalability, low latency, and rapid transaction speeds, aiming for 10-100+ blocks per second.

The controversy surrounding BlockDAG emerged after an unusual move by its developers, who reportedly lowered the final entry price back to $0.001 on January 26, despite previously advancing through higher price levels. Following the move, the team described it as a “final chance” for BlockDAG retail investors to enter at the same price as early participants, ahead of the February 16 listing. This unnatural move from the project developers raised concerns among the investors, and some of them identified it as a red flag.

Apart from this factor, the presale campaign ended on January 26, 2026, and it has been active since 2024, leaving investors impatient with this prolonged period and creating an “investor fatigue.” Some industry experts even describe the event as “forever presale,” due to accusations of an undecided time period back then. Aggressive PR work and a massive amount of news coverage through paid parties intensify the fear of a fraudulent scheme among the crypto community.

Allegations of Fraud and Poor Transparency Cloud BlockDAG Presale Campaign

Summarizing the Reddit discussions and comments, the BlockDAG presale has some serious allegations of scamming and mismanagement. Delays and unkept promises have undermined investor confidence, leaving holders increasingly skeptical. A Reddit user named joshuanichter said that they had invested more than two years ago and had repeatedly been told the project would launch, only for the dates to pass without anything happening. He added that he was now unsure whether to believe claims that the presale would finally end in a few days, with tokens distributed on February 11 and listed on crypto platforms on February 16.

Six months back, a random Redditor posted a review named “BlockDAG Presale Scam Review” by claiming that the campaign is a scam. The review claimed that BlockDAG has been using highly aggressive marketing tactics, portraying itself as a revolutionary blockchain project while promising massive returns to early investors. It is alleged that these campaigns are merely deceptive promotional efforts designed to create hype around a token with no real value before launch. The review further stated that BlockDAG’s presale model enables scammers to raise significant capital before the token is publicly available, with no safeguards preventing the operators from abandoning the project afterward and leaving investors with worthless, non-tradable assets. According to the review, the absence of regulation, verified team transparency, and credible partnerships strongly suggests that BlockDAG is another scam exploiting crypto hype to target inexperienced investors.

The lack of transparency, allegations regarding the fake CEOs and employees, technical failures like unreceived tokens, and poor customer support have further intensified the seriousness of the issue and made people believe that the BlockDAG presale campaign is a scam. Reports indicate that the BlockDAG website and dashboard have experienced functionality problems.

Another Reddit user shared his experience with the BlockDAG community.  He stated that he wanted to share an important update for anyone involved in the BlockDAG presale, noting that many community members appear confused about the current state of the website and dashboard. He explained that the BlockDAG core team does not currently control the official presale website or its dashboard, as the domain and associated email system are presently in the hands of an external marketing contractor that previously worked with the project.

These serious allegations against the blockchain project and its promotional presale campaign have created panic and caution among the community members. As of now, BlockDAG TGE is scheduled for February 11, and the listing can be expected on February 16. More information will be available when or if the listing is completed.
