PJT Partners Set To Report Q4 Results

Investment banker PJT Partners Inc. will release its Q4 earnings tomorrow (Feb 3), with Wall Street estimating a 13% revenue growth. The firm has a history of beating estimates by large margins, which drives its share price higher after the reports. PJT reported a revenue of $447 Million (37% YoY) in the last quarter, which beat expectations by 15.6%.

PJT stock last closed at $173.03, falling 0.79% a day. The share price climbed by 3.64% in 2025, driven by record results and earnings beats by large margins. Investors are closely watching its share price as the Q4 results are closing in.

A History of PJT Beating the Estimates

PJT Partners has consistently increased their revenue in proportions that beat market expectations. Moreover, surprise wins have often shot up their share prices. The firm’s annual revenue in FY21 stood shy of a billion dollars at $991.95 M, and then surpassed the one billion dollar milestone the very next year.

The firm reported an annual revenue of $1.49 billion in 2024, which is a 29.57% increase from FY23. The earnings also show a significant increase between FY23 and FY24 ($136.7M to $221.1 M). The annual revenues and earnings have beaten the expectations of Wall Street frequently, to be registered as a pattern seen in every quarterly report.

The Two Quarters that Surprised the Market

Although it’s not unusual for investment banking firms to beat the market estimate in every quarter, a beat above the margin of 10% is often considered a big surprise by Wall Street. PJT Partners beat estimates by more than 10% in Q4 2024 and in Q3 2025. The share price shot up after the reports as the market confidence swayed in its favor.

PJT recorded a revenue of $477.3 (+45% YoY) million in Q4 2024, where the estimates were in the high-$300M range. Thus, it beat the estimate by a surprising 27.62%. The adjusted EPS for the same quarter was recorded at $1.83, which beat the estimate of $1.40 by 35.7%, rendering the entire quarter a big surprise for the market.

The firm surprised the market in Q3 2025, as the revenue went as high as $447 million. The Wall Street estimates ranged between $392M to $394.68 million. When the earnings beat the estimate by 13-15%, the EPS beat it by 28.47% ( $1.85 vs $1.44).
